First look — mace, rage meter, and zombie interactions
The Rage Mechanic
The rage meter lives on the right side of your screen. It fills when you deal or receive melee damage — and drains when you stop attacking. At maximum rage, your eyes turn red and your stats peak.
The kicker: even hitting item piles (not just zombies) builds rage. Use this to charge up before engaging a group, especially in the late game.
The −50% fire rate penalty only affects ranged weapons. All melee speed is unaffected — you swing the mace at normal speed throughout.
- +3 movement speed
- +20% melee damage
- Eyes turn red (visual cue)
- Slam every 3 attacks
- Knockback on all hits

Mace vs zombies, splash damage, and slam attack in action
Solo the Reactor with Just the Mace
Grab medium armor + gas mask, fly in (or use a keycard), and start spinning in circles. The mace's splash damage clears groups faster than any gun in the early waves.
The new electrical zombies dodge some attacks by glitching sideways — but they're still manageable. Just keep moving. The slam triggers every 3 attacks and wipes whatever survived the normal swings.
The boss is easy as long as you avoid the special attacks. Regular hits barely scratch you. Spin around the boss and you'll clear it without healing.
Nuclear reactor solo run — new layout with electrical zombies
Combat Tests
| Test | Result | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Solo nuclear power plant | ✅ Cleared | Mace only, no heals required |
| Solo 3 brutes | ✅ 0 hits taken | Rotate around them, slash continuously |
| Solo 5 heavy rebels | ✅ Easy | Max rage makes you too fast to catch |
| Solo 30 muscle zombies | ⚠️ Hard | Rock barrage breaks your dodge loop |
| Military base turrets | ⚠️ Need gun | Gun required to destroy roof turrets |
Challenge: Bat-Only Run
Could you complete all 100 days using only the starting bat + Berserker class? The mace can already solo Wave 147 — but the bat has no special abilities. Comment your attempts below.

Worth Every Gem
500 gems for a class that can solo the nuclear reactor, outrun brutes, and clear hordes with splash damage. If you have limited gems, Berserker is your S-tier pick. The only hard rule: no guns as your main weapon — use melee exclusively and keep your rage meter maxed.
