All Classes at a Glance
Best value S-tier. Rage-powered mace dominates melee, splash damage clears crowds, can solo the nuclear reactor.
Premium all-rounder. Insta-kill Desert Eagle, bullet pierce, and a 5s-cooldown airstrike that stays good all game.
Theoretically the strongest class — but only ~5 players in the entire game have it. Not ranked for practical purposes.
Strong support class that buffs teammates significantly. Best in team lobbies.
Post-nerf versatile class. Zombie cap lowered to 10 and stacking removed. Still covers solo, team, offense, defense and support.
Best class under 500 gems. Sprint speed, ammo-on-kill, and X-ray loot detection make early runs effortless.

How We Rate Classes
Every class is tested across solo and team scenarios, multiple wave counts, and against key game events (Blood Moon, power plant raids, military base). Cost is factored in — a cheap class that performs well is rated higher than an expensive class with marginal gains.
Patch notes are tracked. When a class is nerfed (like the recent Necromancer cap change), ratings are updated immediately and a breakdown article is published.
Can the class clear the nuclear reactor, military base or 100+ days alone?
Does it provide buffs, heals, or crowd control that scale with team size?
Is the performance proportional to the cost? A 40-gem class that's A-tier beats a 1,000-gem B-tier.
Does its ability set remain relevant at Wave 100+, or does it fall off?
Player Tips
The best Survive the Apocalypse strategies come from players who've pushed beyond Wave 300. These tips are sourced from community Discord threads and player commentary on top guide videos.

Base BuildingAlways double-gate your entrance. A second gate behind the first buys critical seconds during a Blood Moon rush.
EmeraldsThe nuclear reactor TP farm gives you refined scrap AND batteries. Never skip it — set up the teleporter before nightfall.
Class ChoiceIf you're below 500 gems: Scavenger. 500 gems: Berserker. 1,000 gems: Commander. Don't buy Psychic over Commander.
NecromancerAfter the nerf, focus on building brutes via scythe reincarnation at night. The 10-zombie cap means quality over quantity.
